Crossy Road is an iconic arcade classic game from Hipster Whale. This game is based on the old joke "Why did the chicken cross the road?". Players will take control of a chicken, or any of a number of other silly characters. The goal is to try to reach the furthest point by navigating various types of roads, rivers, and trains.

What is Crossy Road?

First released in 2014, Crossy Road quickly became a global phenomenon. This is an endless hopper arcade game—your task is simply to “jump” each step and try to survive as long as possible. The game can now be played directly on the browser, as well as on Android and iOS.

Controlling the character

Click or press the arrow/up key to move forward.
Press left/right to change direction.

Dangerous obstacles

Vehicles: rushing through crowded roads requires precise timing.
To cross the river, stand on the log; if you fall off, you will lose.
Rail & train: extremely dangerous; need to observe the signal carefully.
Eagle: If you stand still for too long, the eagle will catch you.

Score & goal

The further you go, the higher the score. The score is calculated by the number of steps forward.
